Who can join the Senior GOYA? The St. Vasilios Sr. GOYA is for all high school teens in grades 9 through 12.

When does Sr. GOYA begin and end for the year? Meetings begin for the year the second weekend in September and finish at the end of June.

How often does the Senior GOYA get together? Meetings are twice a month - on the second and fourth Sundays (unless otherwise noted). See our calendar at the bottom of this page for more information.

So as to offer something to all teens, the first meeting of the month is always held at Saint Vasilios. Our second meeting of the month is an activity outside of the church grounds.

What kinds of activities does GOYA do at the church? Our meetings at the church generally consist of a brief business meeting to plan upcoming events followed by volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, a movie night, ice cream social, a "family style" dinner, and more!

What kinds of activities does GOYA do outside of the church grounds? Red Sox games, Celtics games, movies, mini-golf, laser tag, ice skating, our annual weekend ski trip to Sunday River in Maine, trips into Boston, and more!

All that sounds great! Is the Sr. GOYA involved with any service work? Working in conjunction with our Sunday School's High School class, the GOYAns are involved with community service exclusively with the Salem Mission Food Pantry and Homeless Shelter.

In addition, the GOYA is always happy to serve their parish by volunteering at the Church Festival, Family Picnic, cleaning the church on Holy Friday, and various other church events.
