Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
![]()
Listen to the hymn of St. Vasilios
We learn from the Book of Acts that from the first days of the Christian faith, believers "spent their time in learning from the apostles, taking part in the fellowship, and sharing in the fellowship meals and the prayers". (2:42).
From earliest times, therefore, Christians gathered together in communities to be with one another so that with one voice, one heart and mind, they could worship, glorify and praise their Lord, exactly as we do in our own parish today.
Through this web site, we are pleased to be able to introduce you to that same worship and fellowship as it is expressed in the life of St. Vasilios Church. If you are a new member of our parish, or are considering membership, these web pages will acquaint you with what our parish offers to those who give it support and sustenance; to those who already belong to the church, we hope they will provide you with the assurance that your sacrificial offerings are received with profound respect, and are utilized to maximum effectiveness. They will, in any case, enable you to make the informed decisions that are necessary for a meaningful relationship with your church.
As you surf through our web site, we also hope that you will remember that the Christian community is like every other part of life; it can only return to you in direct proportion to what you give. The greater your involvement, commitment and support, the greater will be the benefit you derive and enjoy. Each church program, therefore, should be viewed not only as a source to you, but as an opportunity for you to offer your own time and particular talents to the service of others.

Finally, please remember that no web site can answer every question. If there is something more that you would like to learn, please accept our invitation to call or visit the church office on any weekday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. or e-mail us at: stvals@shore.net, and, in this way, afford us the opportunity to provide the additional help and information you might require.
Looking forward to having you with us, we remain,
Your devoted servants,
Protopresbyter Rev. Andrew Demotses, Rev. Costin Popescu, Rev. Charles Mihos, Rev. Deacon Robert Fadel
